Regrettably, up for sale is my 1996 Phase 1 Peugeot 306 XSi 8v which I have owned for over 6 years, and was owned by my brother for the 6 years before that. Over the 12 years that the car has been in my family (and mainly during the 6 years of my ownership) the car has been extensively but carefully modified in to something which is a truly excellent specification, making the car both fast and engaging to drive. Details as follows: Engine and exhaust The 2.0 8 valve engine has been fully rebuilt, down to the bare block. The block was re-honed by Chesman Engineering who are a well respected motorsport engineering firm. They also balanced the crankshaft, con rods and the flywheel. The engine rebuild consisted of: A long stroke 88 mm crankshaft, which takes the capacity to 2045 cc. It is a forged crank which is 0.5 kg lighter than the original and was brand new.Genuine Peugeot main bearings and ACL race big end bearings.Gas flowed cylinder head.Newman fast road camshaft with new genuine Peugeot followers.New piston rings. The engine rebuild was performed by myself about 3 years ago (although the car has not done many miles since then), and just over 1 year ago, I had the entire exhaust system replaced by Maniflow in Salisbury who have enormous experience with Peugeot tuning. They fitted a 4-2-1 race manifold, a 200 cpi sports cat and a 2.125” free flowing system. The exhaust is actually quite quiet at idle, part load and cruise conditions (certainly quieter than the Milltek system that was on the car prior to taking it to Maniflow) but does become nicely rorty at full load. I honestly can’t make the point too strongly about how good the engine is following these modifications. I had it rolling road tested and it’s making approximately 150 bhp, but the most impressive thing is the torque. It makes peak torque of around 145 lbft at just over 3,000 rpm, which comfortably exceeds that of a standard GTi-6. This makes for a car that feels fantastic to drive because the engine is so strong in the mid range, and continues to pull strongly to over 6,000 rpm. Both the owner of Maniflow and the owner of Guglielmi motorsport (Steve Guglielmi) commented on how torquey the engine feels when I took the car to them for work! I have also just replaced 2 engine mounts – the upper engine mount with a genuine Peugeot item and the lower mount with a Powerflex polyurethane bush. The lower poly bush has increased the cabin noise and vibration quite a bit, and reverting to a genuine Peugeot item may be more suited to some people’s taste. Suspension and wheels The suspension set up that I have gone for is generally regarded within the Peugeot community to be the optimum fast road setup. It consists of: Bilstein B6 dampers all round.Eibach front springs.Citroen Xsara VTS 21 mm rear torsion bars.The rear beam was also professionally rebuilt and lowered by I M Axle as the same time as the 21 mm rear torsion bars were fitted.New beam mounts, front wishbones, ball joints, track rod ends, genuine Peugeot front top mounts.Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 wheels with Yokohama AD08R tyres. The tyres are in great condition with little wear.I also have the standard XSi wheels with Uniroyal Rainsport tyres which are included in the sale. Brakes One year ago, the entire braking system was overhauled. The calipers were refurbished with new pistons and seals, Brembo discs were fitted all round, Brembo pads were fitted on the back and EBC yellow stuff pads on the front. The fluid was also flushed and replaced with ATE super blue. It has the factory fitted ABS which still works fine. Bodywork and interior Both the interior and the bodywork are more or less completely standard, and are in great condition. Overall, this is a really great example of a Phase 1 Peugeot 306. It’s covered 121,000 miles, however with pretty much every mechanical and suspension part having been replaced during my ownership with either genuine Peugeot, or carefully selected modified parts, it’s a much newer car mechanically, and is a really fantastic drive. It has been garaged through my ownership and used as an occasional car. The specification I have gone for is an ideal fast road setup, however with the very flexible engine and agile chassis, the car would also perform excellently as a track day, sprint or hillclimb car. I have mainly been using it as a fun road car, however I took it to a private Nurburgring track day 2 years ago where it performed superbly. I will be so sad to see it go, and I really hope it goes to somebody who is going to take the pride in the car that I have done, maintain it to the same high standard, and most importantly, get the same enjoyment from it. The car has 10 months MOT and passed the last test with no advisories. Based on the condition and spec, I’m looking for £1,500 ono. Please contact me to discuss further or to arrange a viewing.

For sale is my Nile Blue 1999 Gti 6. The car has done 144k miles. I bought the car in February last year as a stop gap as I always wanted one when they were new. The car has 12 months MOT (no advisories) and in preparation for the previous MOT (about 1000 miles ago) had a load of work done listed below: Engine Timing belt and tensioners with water pump Fresh coolant New spark plugs Oil and filter Front Suspension/Steering Both lower arms Both spring’s Top mount bearings Outer CV boot Both top engine mountings Driver’s side engine mounting point welded and strengthened (common fault) 4 wheel Aligned Rear Suspension All subframe mounts changed New rear discs and pads I fitted Alfa Romeo 147 front leather seats as the originals were ripped. The rear seats are in good condition. It has four matching Goodyear tyres each with 6 to 7mm of tread. It has a Sony CD player with USB function but needs a surround. There are speakers in the rear parcel shelf but the shelf is sagging on one corner. The air con has been removed. The central locking works from the plip on the key but I only have one key. As you can see from the photos it has some damage to both the front and rear bumpers and various small dents around the car that could be easily removed by Dentmaster. Underneath it has never been welded and is in great condition. It has a Pipercross Foam Induction kit fitted but apart from this is all standard. It goes and drives well but could do with a new clutch cable as this has gone stiff from standing. Only for sale as I’m losing my storage space. 1999 Peugeot 306 GTI-6 in moonstone blue.This car has been owned by me for the last 14 years.The car has a K+N induction kit and Morette headlights fitted which i replaced the lamps in so in good working order but is otherwise standard.92000 milesElectric windows and mirrors.Replacement head unit fitted.The MOT expires 18 August 2017. So 2 months remaining. Cambelt, tensioners and waterpump were replaced 2 years ago at 83000 milesThe car has had cambelt failure shortly after i bought it (14 years ago, 45000 miles) and was repaired by Peugeot and I have had no issues since. New battery 3 months ago. Partial service history available including original service book and wallet. All four tyres have good tread depth remaining. The car is in generally good condition for an 18 year old carThe bodywork is rust free. It does have a few stone chips to the bonnet and front bumper and minor scuffs to rear bumper which occurred before my ownership which have been touched upThere are a few car park dings as well. The car has air con fitted but it does not work.The drivers seat has the normal scuffs and tears to the fabric which all these cars have. The wheels are in generally good condition but do have a few scuffs on them. The clutch is good but very heavy and would benefit from a cable change (known 306-gti problem).The speedo drops out occasionally at the start of a journey. Needs a replacement sensor which i have but not fitted yet. The front fog lights don’t work, could just be connections need cleaning but not sure. Peugeot 306 gti6millage is 127kmot 8th January 2018inside is mint apart from worn gear nob.body work has few marks but not bad.Engine is sweet goes well, really well. Has a different exhaust system cost £300also has front strut brace.Cam belt and water pump and pulleys replaced.Clutch is perfect.New head lights New spot lights no knocks or bangs at all.Two new front tyres fitted rear tyres are fine.Front and rear brakes all replaced with pads.No play in rear axle.Book off paper work with car also has Peugeot cd player still fitted.Comes with 2 keys.I’m insured with a classic car company and costs £320 fully comp and insured for a value for £5000.00, being 25 years old not bad :)any questions please ask or call on 07531220021. Hi, For sale is my GTI 6. The car has MOT until December 2017. 114,000 miles. Good runner, has had a recent cam belt, service in March 2017. The exterior is in good condition however there is lacquer peel in a couple of places. Interior is also in good condition apart from the driver’s seat which is worn. This is fun little car to drive however have too many cars and not enough space so reluctantly it needs to go. Can deliver at extra cost. Any questions please call me on 07523 736361.
