IM SELLING MY PRIDE AND JOY AS NOT GETTING TO USE IT ENOUGH, AND NO GARAGE TO STORE. PEUGEOT 306 GTI 62.0 16V 6 SPEED M.O.T TILL- 31 MARCH 2020155,000MILES Have owned for the past 5 yearsstart and drives as it should, pulls well in all 6 gears, and sounds well with scorpion exhaust and performance air filter. Has had the timing belt replaced last year, and has been service regularly over the time i’ve had it by a friend. 2 brand new rear tyres, and front are nearly new. has been lowered by previous owner. Very tidy car considering it’s age, but the roof will need painting as full of scratches for some reason? also a small amount on bonnet but not much. Advertised for sale is my Peugeot 306 Gti 6 Supercharged Low Boost Astor Grey, I have owned this car for two years now, having bought it off a friend of a friend, but have never really found the time to use it. The car is in good overall condition for its age and the photos were taken on the day of listing. There are some marks and scratches to the paint but this is a reflection of its age, likewise the interior is in good condition with there only being wear to the outside bolster on both front seats. The car runs however it does not have a current valid MOT and therefore will need to be towed, I would recommend the car is given a full service prior to use, as the most recent cambelt service was undertaken in 2013. The Clifford alarm is also proving troublesome and I would suggest that this needs looking at. I will try to answer any questions as best as I can, however I did not build the car myself, viewings are welcomed. Please note that I am not looking for trades and the auction will run to the end.

1997 Phase 1 Peugeot 306 GTI-6

52,000 miles, recent overhaul

I have seen a project that floats my boat but I need to sell a car to get it as I have no room for another. These cars are rare with only 100 or so phase 1 GTI-6 left and to many enthusiasts Sigma is the colour to have. It is a 1997 P with no AC and electric sunroof. I bought it as a rolling shell 3 years or so ago with 48.5k miles and spent 18 months transforming it into a tidy complete and almost factory standard car that is a very rare sight nowadays. It has just 52k on it now and the engine fitted (approx 90k miles) had a new head gasket and slight skim approx 1000 miles ago costing over £500. The interior is excellent, the paint on the roof is faded a little with a few small rust blisters that are barely visible and whilst the paintwork is not mint, it looks lovely after a polish. I spent £200 at Pugfest a few years ago having all the dents removed. It is lowered slightly and handles great but I prefer my cars on standard ride height suspension but is otherwise standard. I have some standard ride height front springs that are included in the sale. I have a spare sigma tailgate that will need a little paint to be perfect as the one fitted has a little bubbling under bottom of rear screen which can only be seen close up. I had a lot of parts satin black powder coating during the partial rebuild including the airbox assembly, spare wheel cradle and hook, battery box etc. The underside has no rot that these early cars often suffer from. The MOT tester commented how clean it is underneath when I first had it MOTd. So the refurb consisted of : New-ish Peugeot exhaust (1000 miles of use before I bought it secondhand), new cambelt/tensioners (top and bottom)/water pumpRefurbished wheels (some small less than 5p sized powdercoat has come off 2 of the wheels) and new Uniroyal Rainsport 3s now with 6mm of treadRefurbished drivers seat and all seats are rip-free Hole-free parcel shelfRefurbished gearknob90k mile engine from a phase 1 GTI-66 speed phase 1 gearbox with no noises or crunchesAll calipers rebuilt and painted in off-silver gold to replicate the zinc pacifate but more resilient to corrosion I have a spare phase 1 gearbox that I can include too if the car reaches the reserve. These new parts were fitted too: Rear badges, Abs sensors, Catalytic convertor and lamda sensor,Handbrake cablesBosch battery, Rear lights, front and side repeaters Discs/pads all round,Clutch and gearbox bushes, New Bosch wiper blades,Engine mount/bushes,Radiator and cap,Dealer front mudflaps,Stainless steel bulkhead heat protector,Idle control valve,New front wishbones,Both door mirrors,Rear brake disc protectors, It also has :Headlight protectors and driving light protectors, both rare period accessoriesBluetooth period Pioneer head unitGTI-6 embroidered mats and boot mat (not cheap!)Front armrest (I use the car to commute in the summer sometimes) The car was MOT’d last month and passed with no advisories. Not so good bits: Small amount of blistering on tailgate )probably caused by fitting a new rear screen many years ago but rust free tailgate included)No service history (lost by owner before the car was stripped of it’s interior and running gear)Paint on roof faded and a few rust bubbles visibleRear wiper stopped working but I have a new Valeo one that needs fitting All in a great phase 1 GTI-6 that turns heads and starts conversations at the petrol station even though it is relatively modern. It needs very little doing to make it a real stunner. I have deliberated for a few weeks about selling this car as I really do love it, but it is hardly used as I have a few other cars. I work in London for part the week but happy for anyone to view it with a few days notice. The car is located in WN6, 4 miles from J27 M6. I have lots more photos and am happy to answer any questions honestly should you have any.
